Any of you who have followed my work for awhile knows that once or twice a year, I attend an event in Bucksport at the High School called the Ladies Night Out. Last night was the 6th Ladies Night Out event (I’ve attended 5 of the 6… Only because I had surgery two weeks prior to the spring event two years ago!).
Look at these beautiful flowers that Aimee and Sara gave me to celebrate my 5th event with them!
I love this event, and everything that it stands for! Sara and Aimee, the ladies who organize the event each year, are working hard to help raise money for Bucksport Community Concerns, the local food pantry/food cupboard, to help feed local families.
I feel strongly about giving as much to an organization like this, because back when my family was struggling, we benefited from the help of some local food pantries ourselves, and I am so thankful that the option was available for us… I’m even more thankful that we are no longer in the position to need that kind of assistance, and are able to help give back to support those who are in the same situation that I have been in myself!
Each year, I do a photobooth for anyone who is interested in having photos taken that evening, and I also do a giveaway for anyone who is interested in joining my mailing list, and I give away one photoshoot to one lucky lady who signs up for my mailing list!
