Any of you who have followed my work for awhile knows that once or twice a year, I attend an event in Bucksport at the High School called the Ladies Night Out. Last night was the 6th Ladies Night Out event (I’ve attended 5 of the 6… Only because I had surgery two weeks prior to the spring event two years ago!).

Two and a half years ago I was driving home from an appointment, getting lost in my own head… which is pretty much how all of my best ideas develop, and something struck me and changed my life. Continue reading »
This year, in honor of Mother’s everywhere, I have decided to offer a special deal to those of you who would like to book a shoot with your Mother or Daughter!
Today was the big day… moving day! I’ve been working on packing everything up over the last few days and had everything ready to go when Mike got home from doing a small job this morning. We loaded up and headed out and managed to have everything set up in about 2 hours…. with time for a lunch break (If you haven’t been to Thorndike Creamery in Rockland, ME you seriously need to go… Try the artichoke, spinach, feta and goat cheese quesadilla, it’s amazing!).While hubby was off down the block picking up lunch for us, I set to work getting things “just right”… I’m SO excited with how everything came together! And, now that I’m looking at things in this new studio, I’m trying to figure out…. how the heck did I have all of this in my house with all of us living here and everything? Where exactly were we keeping it all?!?! Oh, that’s right… Everywhere in the way, haha!I cannot WAIT for my first photoshoot in the new studio! Continue reading »
I began my photography journey in late 2012 after some friends pleaded with me to photograph their wedding. I was only a hobbyist before that, so I wasn’t convinced I could do a good job and enlisted the help of my friend Brittany of Sisco Photography to help. It was a fantastic experience, and after that I began to really consider that maybe I could make this into something.
Through the next year I spent a lot of time practicing, trying out all different genres of photography. I did a lot of online workshops, read everything I could find on the subject, practiced every chance I got, and even opened up my fragile ego to have my work critiqued by other photographers… which 9 times out of 10 in the first 6 months resulted in tears and being ready to hang up my camera for good (Yeah, I really was that bad!)
