“I’m ready for my close up Mr Deville!!” – That’s the message I got on May 8th from Dora, who came to me last march for a Military Boudoir photo shoot when her then girlfriend, Jenn, was heading off to boot camp.
Since the last photoshoot, Jenn and Dora have gotten engaged, and are now married. Between the two of them, they have 6 children. And, I have to say, they are one of the most amazingly close families I have ever met.
I’ve known Jenn since we were in middle school, and Dora since she decided to have her first photo shoot done with me last year, but she’s great too. They are perfect for each other.
Dora was my very first client who was interested in boudoir photography, and it was scary as hell, but more than a year later, it’s still one of my favorite sessions ever, and you’ll still find me showing her pictures all over the place!
This session was no different, we totally went into it last minute (booked just days before the shoot itself, which is highly unusual for me!) and didn’t have a plan (also unusual since I normally do at least some sort of pre-consult with each client!) but I have to say, it went off without a hitch…
She was dropped off and we did hair and makeup and then jumped right into getting pictures done… by the time we thought we were “done”, and her ride wasn’t back yet, we decided to try out a few more creative shots, with a bit of a voyeuristic feel, and HOLY CRAP did they come out amazing!
